this is an experimental project for class.

some of the images used are already in my gallery, I went back to everything I've shot until now to get the inspiration and material for this

it is not necessarily a final piece, i've been working with other variations and i had a different result in mind but this fits the assignment the best

please comment and critique!

There is a nice balance to this piece, I really like your use of colour. The only thing I dont like is the orange flower at the top, it just dosn't seem to fit with the rest of the work, maybe its the wrong colour, I'm not sure. But anyway great piece otherwise.

Beautiful work.

I love the colors in this piece, though the sky shots just seem to... Be there. They don't really add anything, I guess you could say?

thank you for the feedback. I know what you mean, I think it's because the other shots are much more simple and the colors are primarily uniform across the image. That one has a lot of colors, plus it seems cramped without any negative space around it...I will definitely take this into consideration when I go back and play with it- it could probably be fixed by just swapping it with another flower. thanks!

Thank you. I was working with the idea that the sky shots open up the overall composition, when it was filled with other images it became really busy and cluttered. Mostly I was just playing with the idea of serenity and the sky images made that work for me. I appreciate the critique :)

i think it's a spectacular piece of art!

it forces the eye to take in the little details as well as the big picture. in terms of layout design, the element of unexpected surprise is right on.

my only nit-pick is that i wish you had used the same dark blue for the sky on the left of the collage. however, that is just a personal preferance and doesn't change my opinion of this work one bit.
