I've seen a statue very similar to this one on one of the islands in lago maggiore in italy, is that the same place you wrote in your description?

I'm not really sure, it was taken at some point during a 12 hour bus ride from Sorrento to Sicily and there was a lot of sleeping and tiredness :p I honestly don't recall much of where we were. thanks for the favorite :)

i love this....absolutely beautiful....i've been wondering though, as i only recently started doing very basic work with photoshop....what does curves adjustment actually do, and is there a really quick way to explain how to use it? awesome shot, though. :+fav:

it basically controls image density...like the range of blacks and whites...heh it's hard to explain. if you open up the curves window in photoshop, you can set points on the slanted line and then adjust them to see the effects- it's hard to describe but basically it can be used to bring out more detail when colors or whites and blown out
